My Philosophy of Care
As a clinician, I have over four years experience working with various issues including relationship/marriage conflicts, eating disorders, transgenerational trauma, racial trauma, homelessness, familial conflicts, being a first generation college student, religious and cultural barriers, etc. I work with individuals from a holistic approach, taking into account all aspects of the individual’s life (social, relational, emotional, mental, physical, cultural and environmental) that may impact their overall wellness.
About Me & My Practice
I have worked with eating disorders for over two years at a treatment center that follows the philosophy of health at every size. I am passionate about increasing awareness of the harms of diet culture and how it is ingrained in various cultures across the world. I now see clients in an outpatient setting who want to maintain recovery and continue working on strengthening their relationships with their bodies. I currently run support groups for Muslims who struggle with eating disorders that is open to them globally.
Accessibility Considerations
I am fully virtual, so there are no specific accommodations needed since I do not practice in a physical space. I am open to any feedback or suggestions from clients if there’s any way I can accommodate them in a virtual space.
