My Philosophy of Care
I am a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). I am passionate about helping others find a sustainable way of eating that makes sense for them and their individual lifestyle, emphasizing self-compassion. Whether you’re looking to improve your health, manage a chronic condition or create a better relationship with food, I’m here to help.
I believe that everyone deserves the right to appropriate and thorough care from their healthcare providers, without judgment and assumption. My approach is trauma-informed, weight-inclusive and culturally responsive. I welcome people of all identities and backgrounds and am dedicated to providing a safe space for individuals in marginalized communities.
I am a Health at Every Size (HAES)-aligned provider, and I celebrate body diversity and support people of all sizes. I couple this with an intuitive eating approach, working to help others let go of hierarchical thinking and fear around food and instead work towards food neutrality, where all foods can fit.
About Me & My Practice
I’m an Asian-American Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, and I received my Masters in Nutrition from Hunter College in NYC. I’m passionate about simplifying food and nutrition, helping people find a healthy & happy lifestyle that works for them without restriction, guilt or frustration.
I work with individuals and groups to dismantle diet culture, break the cycle of disordered eating, and simplify our relationship with food and nutrition. I emphasize inclusive care and am dedicated to creating a safe space for individuals in marginalized communities, including helping to match my clients with other HAES-aligned for safe, coordinated care. My approach is warm, caring and attentive- building a solid foundation of trust and respect is key to my work!
As a CDCES, I also help people living with diabetes to help manage their blood sugar levels with gentle nutrition, tuning in to what their bodies need in a sustainable way for long-term success.
My specialties include eating disorder & disordered eating recovery, diabetes management and child & family nutrition. My experience ranges from individual and group nutrition counseling, intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for eating disorders, hospitals and clinical facilities, as well as the health tech industry.
Accessibility Considerations
I see clients virtually via Zoom, so I see clients wherever and however they're most comfortable. If a client cannot look at a screen or isn't comfortable doing so for a long period of time, I have switched over to have our cameras off, with just audio. I am trauma-informed and am familiar with grounding techniques, which I can/have used with a client on a call.
