My Philosophy of Care
My approach to working with clients is one of compassion, empathy, and hope. I believe we are all able to be healthy at any size and do no support any discrimination of body size. I fully support the Health at Every Size approach and am proud to be HAES® informed when working with my clients. I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and intuitive eating has helped me navigate way from my own history of disordered eating habits. In my work as a therapist, I enjoy finding our inner child and becoming a loving parent to that inner child. I use many different therapy techniques including Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Polyvagal work, and Narrative Therapy.
About Me & My Practice
After struggling with disordered eating for many years, I began listening to podcasts about eating disorders and intuitive eating. It was here that I was introduced to the Health at Every Size framework. I have been on and am still on a journey to learn more about how I can be an ally to those in fat bodies and better advocate against fatphobia. I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and received this certification through Evenlyn Tribole. My hope to is help my clients strengthen their intuitive eating skills, increase their self worth, and practice within the Health at Every Size® framework. In my spare time, I love to read, do yoga, take my Frenchie on adventures, and watercolor.
