My Philosophy of Care

I focus on patient-centered care and treat the person as a whole and not just a diagnosis. I work with the person's strengths to help them in sessions and interventions. I am a believer in all foods fit with balance and variety and am anti-diet culture. HAES care is super important for my practice because I use only evidenced-based tools with HAES being the main one. I love explaining to my clients how weight loss is not needed to reap health benefits or long term diagnosis/illness management. There's so much credible evidence proving that being in a larger body contributes to people living longer and happier lives!

About Me & My Practice

I am a registered dietitian that has my own private practice focusing on eating disorders (BED, anorexia nervosa, bulimia, orthorexia, ARFID), intuitive eating, and IBS/gut issues. I have worked with eating disorders for over 6 years since working at an eating disorder PHP/IOP program center, as well as outpatient, and has personal experience with living with IBS. I have experience in working with adolescents, adults, older adults, and families. I also volunteer on the side at a local clinic for those that don’t have access to health insurance in my community. I have a passion for helping people recover a healthy relationship with food and bringing joy back to their life, along with providing nutrition education. I also am a trauma-informed, HAES provider. I believe in fighting weight stigma and providing a safe space for people in all types of bodies to exist. I also have 2 cats that I love and adore and 1 dog. For fun I like to box or be outside in nature.

Accessibility Considerations

I have large couches and chairs that are very comfortable for people in larger bodies in my office. I also have blood pressure cuffs that are for larger persons. I only take weights for my eating disorders patients that are critically ill and losing weight drastically that need monitoring but it's a blind weight.
