My Philosophy of Care
I'm passionate about helping people become competent and happy eaters. I support my clients in finding a more peaceful and flexible approach to health and nutrition that feels unique and authentic to them - your goals are my goals! I specialize in Health at Every Size® and Intuitive Eating medical nutrition therapy. I have specific interests in supporting the healing work of those with Binge Eating Disorder, a history of chronic dieting, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and poor body image. I practice from an Intuitive Eating framework using aspects of Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
About Me & My Practice
I'm a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and founder of The Intuitive Eating Center of Northeast Ohio. I completed my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Cleveland State University and masters degree in Nutrition at University of Akron. I previously worked in a hospital setting specializing in oncology and surgery nutrition and was an adjunct nutrition instructor at Cleveland State University. I currently sit on The State Medical Board of Ohio Dietetics Advisory Council. I opened The Intuitive Eating Center in 2018 to bring weight-inclusive and non-diet care to Northeast Ohio. Our priority is to create a safe, welcoming space for individuals of all sizes, ages, races, gender identities and abilities to support healing.
Accessibility Considerations
Virtual sessions are available for those that feel most comfortable at home. Our in-office space consists of weight inclusive seating (weight limit 800 lb). The back of the building has handicap parking and ramp entrance. Elevators are available to reach our second floor office space.
