My Philosophy of Care
I employ a warm, empathetic approach in session, often infused with humor when appropriate. My goal is to create a space where every body feels safe, seen, and heard. Whether you're navigating challenges with food, digestive distress, or other health concerns, I believe in taking the time to understand your unique story and needs. I often draw connections between our struggles and broader systemic forces like white supremacy culture and capitalism, which can impact our well-being in subtle yet profound ways.
In a world that often promises quick fixes, I emphasize the value of a thoughtful, patient approach to your health. My role is to partner with you, helping you draw on your own internal wisdom and lived experience to achieve your goals—whether that’s improving your digestion, finding peace with food, or enhancing your overall well-being. Together, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on sustainable and meaningful change.

About Me & My Practice
Hi! I'm Annie. I am a fat-positive, Health at Every Size® (HAES®) aligned Registered Dietitian, although I prefer the title Nutrition Therapist as I think it's much more apt for the kind of work I do.
I came to this work through my own recovery from an eating disorder. I see and understand from my own lived experience how anti-fat bias and weight stigma harm all of us — how it disconnects us from our bodies and keeps us in our heads, worrying about food and our bodies often at the expense of our mental, emotional and physical health. It is the honor of my life to partner with my clients to help them leverage their own internal wisdom and lived experience to reach their health goals.
I hold multiple privileged identities, including being white, cisgender, heterosexual, and currently able-bodied. I am committed to continuously learning and unlearning how these identities impact others and what I can do to reduce harm. I also hold size privilege as a “small fat,” meaning I experience some weight stigma but can shop at plus-size stores and navigate the world with fewer size-related restrictions.

Accessibility Considerations
My office is ADA-compliant and accessible with elevators, though it’s important to note that the main entrance has a long ramp and my office is a ways into the building, probably 1000ft from the parking lot, which may be challenging for some individuals. For virtual meetings, I use Zoom.
