My Philosophy of Care

For my entire career, I have been a non-diet dietitian with a science-based approach. I use a weight-inclusive lens to help clients break free from dieting and diet culture. This means I coach clients to build behaviors that support physical, mental, and emotional well-being without focusing on weight. My philosophy of care is patient-centered. This plays out in sessions by focusing on what is most important to the client. I help each client individually define what health means to them and provide compassionate support as they take steps towards their goals.

About Me & My Practice

I have helped clients across the U.S. rediscover the pleasure, joy, and satisfaction of eating foods they truly love. As a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, I specialize in Intuitive Eating and eating disorder recovery. I help you foster a healthy relationship with food and your body, so that eating is not a source of stress, anxiety or shame, but an act of daily self care. When not in the office, I lead the Vermont chapter of the Body Liberation Hiking Club. I am a fierce advocate for bodies of all sizes enjoying the outdoors - on the trails, on the water, in the snow, and everywhere in between - free of diet culture, weight loss talk or negative speech of any kind.
