My Philosophy of Care
My philosophy includes providing relatable and accessible nutrition care to all people, regardless of age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation and ability.
I utilize evidence based practices while also recognizing that the client’s lived experience is evidence in itself.
To provide compassionate, person centered nutrition guidance in an easy to digest format, meeting the client where they are in their stage of change.
I value being trauma informed, HAES® aligned, weight inclusive, person centered and collaborative. I meet my clients where they are, and provide a space where they can be vulnerable in asking for help. I advocate for my clients, support their autonomy, and don’t have my own agenda.
One of the most important ways I provide care is working as a guide. I provide the tools, and my clients can choose how to use them, with my support.

About Me & My Practice
I became a dietitian after I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 25. Up until that point, I was working hospitality jobs just long enough to travel; rinse and repeat. It was a huge shift to my sense of self to be diagnosed with an autoimmune condition and it radically changed the direction of my life. I had some negative experiences working with dietitians. That, combined with being uninsured in the US, made me want to pursue something more consistent and reliable. I also wanted to be able to help others have a better experience than I did.
When I became a dietitian, I was sort of regurgitating the outdated information taught to me in my program. However, I started working in the eating disorder realm and the wool was taken off my eyes! Slowly, over the 8 years of my career, and especially as I shifted into owning my own practice, my work became more radical and liberated. One of the main things I am passionate about is advocating on behalf of my clients-finding resources whether that is stylish clothing or a weight inclusive OBGYN.
Outside of work, I love traveling, animals, dancing, swimming, cooking, sleeping, and spending time with friends and family.

Accessibility Considerations
The office space I am in sadly is in an old building and doesn't have a lift. My office is on the second floor. I made sure when I furnished my office that spatially all bodies could move around and through. I also ensured that I got a couch that met the criteria for larger bodies both from a weight bearing and depth perspective. I provide sessions in person, via telehealth with video on or off, over the phone and even over chat for my clients who are non-verbal. I work extensively with different cultures and prioritize building referrals and learning about resources I can share with my clients who are looking for a specific type of provider or experience based on their culture.
