My Philosophy of Care

My philosophy of care is rooted in compassion, empowerment, and respect for each individual's unique journey. As a Public Health Nutritionist in the UK, a French Dietitian, a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and a sophrologue in France, I bring a global health perspective to my work, integrating intuitive eating practices with mindfulness-inspired techniques. I create a nonjudgmental space for patients to reconnect with their bodies, and embrace sustainable health behaviors. I am also a proud member of the GROS (Groupe de Réflexion sur l'Obésité et le Surpoids) in France. Practicing from a Health at Every Size® (HAES®) perspective, which aligns with the principles of the GROS, is fundamental to my work. This approach challenges weight stigma, promotes equitable care, and prioritizes well-being beyond weight. Through intuitive eating, joyful movement, and mindfulness, I empower patients to cultivate self-compassion and resilience while honoring the diversity of their experiences and bodies.

About Me & My Practice

I began my career as an international Public Health Nutritionist, working with SCUK and HKI in countries like Burkina Faso and Bangladesh. Concurrently, I served as a Public Health Nutritionist in London with the NHS, addressing social inequalities and malnutrition. My passion for this work stems from a desire to fight social injustice and challenge the stigma surrounding fat individuals; I believe their conditions are not their fault but rather a result of societal pressures and systemic biases. This realization led me to explore intuitive eating as a compassionate approach to health. Now I live in France, and outside my work, I volunteer as a helper in a kitchen in Antony, advocating for equitable health practices. I love walking in the park near my flat, swimming, and spending time with friends playing board games.

Accessibility Considerations

In my practice as a dietitian, I prioritize accessibility for all clients. My office is equipped with an elevator for easy access, and I have two large chairs with a weight capacity of 130 kg. For clients requiring larger capacities, I can coordinate with the nearby medical professionals who can provide additional support. While I do not have specialized equipment, I ensure a welcoming environment for all body sizes. Staff members are trained to be inclusive and sensitive to the needs of clients. I strive to create a space where everyone feels comfortable and respected in their health journey.
