My Philosophy of Care
I am a Health At Every Size® (HAES®) aligned registered dietitian nutritionist and a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. My approach is compassionate, curious, trauma-informed, and human. I acknowledge my white, thin, straight, cis privilege, and remain mindful of this in my work. My passion is supporting and empowering others as they work towards nurturing their relationship with food and caring for themselves in ways that are aligned with their unique values, needs, and lived experiences. I wholeheartedly believe that quality, respectful care should be accessible for all, and that characteristics such as health status should never be a basis for judgement or oppression. I understand the many complexities that play into nourishing oneself, and acknowledge the challenges of living in a society with such narrow ideals for personal identity and traits such as body size, appearance, and health. My aim is to help clients to redefine their relationship with their thoughts and actions surrounding their bodies and eating experiences, and live meaningful lives.
About Me & My Practice
I value providing compassionate, inclusive care to all individuals. From living with multiple chronic illnesses and trying to navigate their ever-changing nature, I am frequently humbled, and always learning- both how to honor my own needs and limitations, and how to support others who aim to do the same. I appreciate every opportunity to listen and learn about the unique experiences of each human I meet with, and aim to offer the utmost support, and nutrition education and guidance as they navigate each season of life. Outside of work, I enjoy photography, baking, learning piano, and spending time with those I love.
