My Philosophy of Care

I approach my work with my patients with compassion, empathy, respect, kindness, honesty and transparency. We consider the whole person: their mental, physical and emotional state in connection to their relationship with food and body. Being a HAES provider is the most valuable aspect of my work, especially in regards to my intention of providing a safe space (as safe as one can feel with and around my identity) for patients living in all types of bodies. If someone doesn't feel safe, or they feel judged or harmed, then the meaningful "work" can't be done.

About Me & My Practice

I've been a dietitian since 2015 and, unfortunately, there was no formal training or mention of HAES throughout traditional dietetics training, so I had to find it on my own through attending continuing education events and seeking supervision! I've been treating eating disorders for the past 7 years, and opened up my own practice in 2020! I am incredibly passionate about being a HAES provider. That passion started when I was first introduced to HAES, and I had many thoughts of "well, duh, this is how it should be!". Those thoughts and that passion have only strengthened after meeting with some incredible, amazing humans over the years who have suffered greatly at the hands of our weight-centric healthcare system. In addition to being a dietitian and business owner, I am also a mama to an incredible 2.5 year old son, a wife to a wonderful husband and we have two needy but cute dogs! I am a total foodie, I love to travel and the beach is always calling my name.

Accessibility Considerations

We have a physical location in Dover, NH for in-person appointments. This building has an elevator, but the main door only has stairs (4 stairs to be exact) with no permanent ramp. Once getting inside, there is access to the elevator and we are located on the 2nd floor. Waiting area seats are armless. In the office, there is a couch in addition to an armless chair.
