My Philosophy of Care
As co-founder and co-owner of Tend and Cultivate Counselling, it has long been a dream of mine to offer trauma-informed, weight-neutral, radical mental health care -- particularly for those in larger and marginalized bodies.
I believe my clients are incredibly wise and I approach counselling as a collaborative endeavor that centers your lived experience. I trust you are the expert in your life and position myself as someone joining you on a journey of healing.
The nexus of my work is the places where we are most tender and what brings us to life – after all, our wounds deserve tending but what makes life worth living is the joy, pleasure, connection, satisfaction, and passion we cultivate each and every day.
I strive to be affirming for non-monogamous/polyamorous, kinky, aromantic, asexual, neurodivergent, and transgender/nonbinary folks.

About Me & My Practice
I specialize in relationships, trauma, body shame, breaking up with diet culture, & pleasure. am a Certified Body Trust Provider and trained in IFS, EMDR, EFT, and somatic modalities. My approach is weight inclusive, anti-diet, trauma informed, and fat positive. I work with individuals and couples (poly, queer, LGBTQIA2S affirming).
As a superfat/infinifat, queer, neurodivergent person with chronic pain, I have experienced harm from the medical and mental health industrial complex and knew I wanted to work to create a space that was affirming and radical - to offer the care I longed for over the years.
Personally, cats are basically my personality. Also, I read, garden, doodle/draw, play cozy video games, and spend as much time in the water as possible. Play is one of my core values and I orient my life towards anti-capitalist ways of being where my worth is celebrated separate from what I can do or produce.

Accessibility Considerations
I see the majority of my clients online, however my in-person space in Langley, BC is wheelchair accessible with a gender-neutral bathroom and office seating is wide and accommodates higher weight folks. I am both a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and a Canadian Clinical Counsellor (CCC) which allows those with extended benefits in Canada to submit for reimbursement.
