My Philosophy of Care
I approach my work from a personal belief that you matter. From this foundation, I meet you where you are at to learn about what is getting in the way of you living and experiencing your life the way you want to. I engage in therapy from an anti-oppression lens. We need to understand and uncover how different forms of oppression play a role in our lives and how we navigate the world. I practice from a HAES® perspective because you are more than your clothing size and it's about time the rest of the world understood this.
About Me & My Practice
I came to practice from a HAES® perspective after years of my own journey of unlearning after healing from an eating disorder. My work in recovery was incomplete until I found HAES® and did (and continue to do) the hard work of unlearning my own biases. I am a Certified Body Trust Provider. This certification, in short, has been all about returning to a place of trust with the bodies.
Outside of the office I enjoy growing vegetables for myself and our local food bank, reading cozy books, being with my partner, and playing with my dog Toast.
Accessibility Considerations
I provide tele-therapy only appointments. I do not currently have interpretation services set up but am willing to do if needed. I'm a solo practitioner so your only communication with the practice will be through me.
