My Philosophy of Care

I believe in the importance of creating a supportive, compassionate, non-judgmental space at the base of the care I provide. I firmly believe that this is your journey, and I am here as a guide.

I believe in a person-centered approach, tailoring care to the individual sitting in front of me – their whole person, not just their body weight, shape or size. We are all the experts of our own bodies and believe in the transformative power of learning to trust and honor them.

I am a fat-positive, weight-inclusive dietitian. This means I do not entangle body weight and health. I will not, and do not, provide weight loss advice. I believe that weight-neutral care is the only option of care as it pertains to nutrition therapy and work towards a world in which all providers operate from this framework of care.

I am honored to walk alongside you in your journey to a more sound, grounded, and wholesome relationship with food, exercise, and bodies.

About Me & My Practice

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. I own a private practice with an office located in Tallahassee, Florida and am able to see clients virtually in FL, NC, PA, and MD. I primarily serve folks with eating disorders, disordered eating, or those seeking weight-inclusive nutrition support.

I first learned about HAES® in my own journey to recovery, and witnessed firsthand how life-changing this framework of care is and can be.

I am committed to participating in ongoing individual supervision and continuing education to better serve my clients. It is of utmost importance to me that I provide ethical and unbiased care. I have and will continue to engage with training to ensure I am providing trauma-informed, gender-affirming, neurodiverse friendly, and anti-racist care.

I am always open to how I can continue to better myself as a provider and my services and welcome any and all feedback.

Accessibility Considerations

My office in Tallahassee, FL requires the ability to climb 1 flight of stairs. Seating inside my office is designed to be accessible to all, with a weight limit of 500+lb. Seating inside the waiting area to the office has varying chair options with weight limits of up to 350lb. With medical necessity and consent, I have access to blind-weight scale in my office that accommodates persons up to 550+lb.

I have the ability to see all clients virtually through a HIPPA-secure platform, meaning all clients with varying levels of accessibility can participate in medical nutrition therapy sessions in the comfort of their own environments.
