My Philosophy of Care
I am a health and every size chiropractor. I help people of all shapes and sizes to feel comfortable in their bodies free of judgment and body shaming. I use a combination of chiropractic techniques to ensure a comfortable experience and work with you to find ways to manage body pain. I don't give generic recommendations but customize each treatment plan to combine my clinical experience and the patient's expectations and/or goals. traditional chiropractic adjusting techniques as well as light force techniques like Activator (the clicker) and cranial sacral therapy.
About Me & My Practice
I am a fat chiropractor and I know how it feels to live in anti-fat biased world. I love to help my patients with acute and chronic pain and find ways to incorporate movement that is accessible. I have a passion for treating TMJ (jaw) issues, extremities (especially ankles and feet) as well as neck pain. I have a special place in my heart for musicians and yarn workers, as I understand the unique physical aspects of their craft. I love to crochet, read and play the ukulele. Living in the Pacific Northwest, I love that I have access to natural beauty and try to find time to recharge in nature.
Accessibility Considerations
My office is a single level, we have a wheelchair ramp in the front of the building as well as a non-ramped back entrance. We have a small parking lot with one handicap accessible parking spot. We have access to chairs without arms in our reception area and 2 treatment rooms with treatment tables that can accommodate up to 450 pounds. These tables also have a breakaway abdominal section to accommodate larger bellies.
