My Philosophy of Care
I work with my clients to improve their relationship with food and their bodies through a compassionate, flexible, and non-judgmental lens. I promote the importance of challenging diet culture and fatphobia in our society to learn to live well on our own terms. I welcome anyone who needs support on starting to take care of their body in a way that feels realistic and supported. Being a Health at Every Size® Provider is extremely important to me as I think it makes our work together a safe space. A space where you can feel honored and cared for without shame. A space where we can work on what health means to you without weight being the focus. A space where all bodies matter and deserve to be treated that way. My approach to health care and to our goals together is focusing on easy steps in the direction you want to go, nothing too big or scary, so this may be slow work together, but it is sustainable work.
About Me & My Practice
I knew I wanted to be a dietitian since I was 15 years old. I wanted to help people feel better about food and their bodies, because I think that is the true meaning of “health.” I want to help my clients navigate the health and medical information, because there is so much confusing information out in the world. I want to help my clients reduce the shame and sadness that comes with having a body in a fatphobic world. I myself do have thin privilege, and am aware of that in this space.
I have worked with eating disorders at different levels of care for at least 7 years and with the Health at Every Size for most of that time. I advocate against medical fatphobia with every doctor that I connect with for my clients, and do my best to only refer clients to doctors that honor this ideal. I now have my own private practice built around the focus of supporting clients on a journey of finding some peace with food and their body again.

Accessibility Considerations
I work virtually so any limitations in your own space or accessing the computer would come into play here. We can also do phone sessions sometimes if this helps so please let me know if this is an issue.
