My Philosophy of Care

My approach is grounded in body autonomy. I work from a weight-inclusive lens, focusing on diabetes care, HAES®, and intuitive eating principles. My ultimate goal is to help create a space where my clients can explore and heal their relationship to food and their bodies. I am continuously working to provide care that is fat positive, sex positive, queer supportive, and actively counters white supremacy and ableism. I love to use my clients' own expertise and intuition about their bodies, gently challenging lingering diet culture, ableism, and anti-fat bias.

About Me & My Practice

Living with diabetes myself, I am deeply familiar with the complexities and challenges that come along with managing chronic illness while healing from disordered eating and eating disorders. I believe that true health care honors all our identities and every body type, including fat, queer, neurodiverse, and disabled. Working specifically in the diabetes and nutrition space, I unapologetically believe that care should always be fat body supportive. This has boxed me out of jobs and opportunities and I am fine with that. This is a hill I will happily die on.

Accessibility Considerations

I have an entirely virtual practice. Clients can see me from the comfort of their own home. I have no weight limit for care. If physical accessibility is a concern, I invite discussion for problem solving together.
