My Philosophy of Care
My philosophy of care is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and connection. I support individuals in developing a nourishing relationship with food and body by offering a non-judgmental space where they can feel seen, supported, and empowered. I approach my work from a trauma-informed, weight-inclusive lens, honoring each person’s lived experience and autonomy. I collaborate with clients, supporting them in reconnecting to their own inner wisdom and body cues—because you are the expert of your body. Together, we explore how to create sustainable and satisfying self-care practices that align with your values, needs, and capacity.
As a Health at Every Size® (HAES®)-aligned provider, I reject weight-centric approaches and prioritize well-being, access to care, and body respect for people of all sizes. I believe everyone deserves respectful, evidence-based healthcare, free from weight stigma and diet culture harm.
In practice, this means I don’t use weight as a proxy for health, I don’t promote intentional weight loss, and I focus on behaviors and compassionate inquiry. I integrate Intuitive Eating, nervous system regulation, and somatic practices to help clients cultivate trust with their bodies and find peace with food. Whether someone is navigating chronic illness, disordered eating or an eating disorder, or simply seeking a more authentic relationship with their body, I meet them where they are—with warmth, humility, and a belief in their inherent worth.

About Me & My Practice
Like many nutrition professionals, I was trained in a weight-centric model and to came the work of Health at Every Size® and Intuitive Eating after seeing firsthand how harmful diet culture and weight stigma can be—not only to our relationship with food and body, but to our overall well-being. Over time, I began to question the weight-centric approaches I was taught in traditional nutrition training and found my way to the HAES® framework and Intuitive Eating. These approaches aligned deeply with my values of autonomy, justice, and compassion. I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and I have training in eating disorder care, trauma-informed nutrition therapy, and somatic approaches to food and body image healing.
In my practice, I work with folks who want to find more ease and peace in their relationships with food and body. I strive to create an affirming space rooted in curiosity, consent, and respect. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, and I’m committed to providing care that recognizes and responds to the unique experiences of those most impacted by fatphobia. I continue to learn from fat educators, engage in supervision, and advocate within healthcare and wellness spaces to dismantle anti-fat bias and promote equitable, respectful care.
Outside of sessions, you can often find me in the Colorado mountains—hiking, biking, skiing or camping. I find joy in slow mornings, reading, crafting, and spending time with my husband and our pup, Ozzy.

Accessibility Considerations
I offer both virtual and in-person nutrition therapy sessions. For in-person sessions, my office is located in a building that is wheelchair accessible with parking available nearby, and the office is on the second floor with both stairs and an elevator. Seating includes a sofa; however, because this is a shared space, I do not have exact information about weight limits for the furniture.
I practice from a weight-inclusive, Health at Every Size® lens, creating a space where all bodies are welcomed and respected. As a solo practitioner, I handle all communication and appointments directly, and am committed to fostering an affirming experience free from fatphobia or weight stigma. While I generally avoid weight-based goals, weigh-ins may be clinically indicated in higher-risk eating disorder cases. In these situations, I approach weight monitoring with full transparency, collaboration, and consent, keeping care trauma-informed and values-centered, and BMI is never used as a measure of health.
I also offer virtual sessions for those who prefer or require remote care, and I’m committed to making both formats as accessible as possible. I welcome clients of all genders, body sizes, and abilities, and I center autonomy, consent, and lived experience in all aspects of care. If you have specific access needs, questions, or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I'm committed to working with you to create a supportive and affirming care experience.
