My Philosophy of Care
My philosophy of care is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect for each person's lived experience. I approach my work through a whole-person lens, recognizing that health is shaped by biology, environment, trauma history, access, and social context - not by weight. I partner with my patients rather than prescribing to them, creating a supportive space where they feel seen, validated, and empowered to understand their bodies and make choices that genuinely serve their well-being.
Practicing from a Health at Every Size® perspective is central to my work because it aligns with my core belief that all bodies deserve respectful, evidence-informed care free from weight stigma. HAES® allows me to focus on behaviors, nervous-system safety, nourishment, and sustainable lifestyle patterns rather than pursuing weight-centric goals that often undermine physical and emotional health. It is important to me because it promotes dignity, reduces harm, and helps patients reconnect with their body's cues and needs.
In practice, I apply the HAES® Framework through trauma-informed communication, individualized nutrition care, gentle behavior change, and attention to the social and structural factors affecting health. My goal is to help patients rebuild trust in their bodies, expand their capacity for self-care, and pursue health in ways that are flexible, accessible, and aligned with their values - not external expectations.

About Me & My Practice
I came into this work through a deep desire to offer care that feels safe, validating, and accessible - especially for people who have been harmed or dismissed by weight-centered healthcare. My training as a dietitian and my experience working with clients across the size spectrum taught me how urgently we need providers who understand the realities of medical fatphobia. For years I've practiced through a Health at Every Size® lens, integrating trauma-informed nutrition therapy, endocrine and gut-health support, and weight-inclusive care into every part of my practice.
My work is rooted in ongoing learning and advocacy. I prioritize continuing education in size-inclusive medicine, eating disorder treatment, and functional nutrition approaches that truly center patient safety and autonomy. I advocate for those most impacted by weight stigma by challenging harmful medical narratives, educating other providers, and ensuring that my practice remains a place where higher-weight patients receive respectful, evidence-based care - not blame or bias.
Outside of work, I'm also a professional actor with a deep love for musical theatre and Shakespeare - creativity is a huge part of how I understand the world. When I'm not working or performing, you can usually find me at the movies or spending time with my dog, Pepper, who is the heart of my home and my favorite adventure companion.

Accessibility Considerations
I provide care exclusively via telehealth, which allows patients to engage from the comfort of their own space and helps reduce some accessibility barriers. I am committed to gender-affirming care, using correct names and pronouns, and creating a space where all identities feel respected and safe.
I want to be transparent that my front desk team may not be specifically trained to avoid weight-based comments or assumptions. I encourage patients to communicate directly with me about any concerns so we can navigate interactions in ways that feel safe and supportive.
Patients are always welcome to share accessibility needs or boundaries upfront, allowing them to fully engage in care on their own terms and feel respected throughout their health journey.
