My Philosophy of Care

My approach to care is rooted in the Health at Every Size® (HAES®) and intuitive eating framework, which honors body diversity, challenges weight stigma, and promotes compassionate, individualized healthcare. I believe that everyone deserves respectful, evidence-based care that supports their unique physical, emotional, and social needs—regardless of their size, shape, or background. I work collaboratively with clients, centering their lived experiences and fostering a safe, non-judgmental space where healing and self-discovery can flourish. Drawing from trauma-informed, weight-inclusive, and person-centered frameworks, I guide clients toward sustainable well-being. HAES® is important to me because it aligns with my values of equity, inclusivity, and holistic health—and because I’ve seen firsthand how empowering it is when individuals are supported in reconnecting with their bodies and reclaiming what health and well-being means to them.

About Me & My Practice

My path to becoming a weight-inclusive, HAES®-aligned provider has been shaped by both professional training and lived experience through my own recovery from an eating disorder. I entered this field with a deep commitment to offering care that affirms the dignity and autonomy of every body, particularly those in larger bodies who have often been marginalized in healthcare settings and in eating disorder treatment. I’ve completed specialized training in eating disorder treatment, body image work, and trauma-informed care. I’ve been practicing from a HAES® perspective since 2018, and I continue to advocate against medical fatphobia by educating peers, amplifying fat voices, and creating safer, affirming spaces for healing. Outside of work, I find joy in spending time with my family and two dogs, hiking, and tending to my ever-growing collection of plants.
