My Philosophy of Care
I provide psychotherapy to teens and adults seeking a non-judgmental space to work through their painful and “messy” experiences. These might include anxiety, panic, depression, relationship issues, disordered eating, or suicidal ideation. Rather than grabbing the Clorox, I help clients explore how and why their symptoms came to be. As clients better understand themselves, they often feel profoundly relieved. From this place, we can identify new coping skills that feel useful. Ultimately, I hope to help clients make peace with “messy”, so they can feel more wholly themselves.
In my work to help clients feel more wholly themselves, I have noticed the pervasive impact of eating disorders. Thus, I offer specialized treatment for teens and adults struggling with ED's, ED behaviors, and body image. I work with clients at all stages of their journeys (provided that the level of care is appropriate), and who hold diverse identities - not all ED’s present in White, thin, and cisgender female bodies.

About Me & My Practice
I myself am a millennial woman continually reckoning with my own messiness, and trying to feel more wholly myself. I am still figuring out what it means to be White, second-generation, economically privileged, broke, straight-sized, and lumpy - all at the same time. I am also on a recovery journey from disordered eating, and from the systems (e.g. diet culture, anti-fat bias, patriarchy, White supremacy) that reinforce ED’s. Things that help me feel whole include: parenting my dog-son, creating art, watching reality TV, spending time outdoors, laughing with friends until my abs hurt, and eating ice cream with rainbow sprinkles.
My work as a therapist also helps me feel whole. In 2022, I launched my private practice to work outside of the larger health care system, which often upholds oppressive beliefs (e.g. that thin = healthy and fat = unhealthy). Dismantling such beliefs by learning about HAES® principles and by exploring the impacts of anti-fatness and diet / wellness culture was a game-changer in my own ED recovery journey. I am passionate about paying this experience forward to clients.

Accessibility Considerations
I practice via telehealth exclusively. I gladly accommodate clients’ accessibility needs as they arise. If I am unable to do so, I will help clients connect with a better-fit therapist or agency.
