My Philosophy of Care

I take a holistic approach to client care. My clients know their health best and I am here on the journey with them as they discover what health means to them. A lot of my clients come to therapy harmed by other helping professionals. I honor lived experience and believe my clients are the experts of their lives. I see a lot of clients who hold marginalized identities, specifically fat folx, queer &/or trans/nonbinary folx, & neurodivergent folx. Health is multifaceted and I approach therapy from a fat liberation approach to help everyone feel liberated in their relationship with food and their body.

About Me & My Practice

I came to this work through healing my own relationship with my food and my body. As a queer, fat, neurodivergent, & disabled person, I’ve experienced medical fatphobia and am dedicated to helping my clients process their own medical fatphobia. I am a White person who is a small/mid fat who is dedicated to helping my clients who have more marginalized experiences through fat activism. I run Fat Babes of Chicago which is a social and fat activist club. I am trained through Ample and Rooted’s intersectional eating disorder training program.
