My Philosophy of Care

I seek to listen to my clients and encourage them to tell their food, body, and movement stories. We will work collaboratively towards your goals, always with your consent. Reasons for being in this process change over time and I'm here for that! I take my role as a guide in your journey very seriously and I am just that: a guide. It is you who are the expert of your body. Sometimes, we need a little reminder that we were born in this body and we know best. It's coming back to this knowing that will be at the root of our work.

About Me & My Practice

I am a Master's level Registered Dietitian and Certified Personal Trainer. I have worked at all levels of care in the treatment of eating disorders. I came to this work through my own journey to body liberation, which is the work of a lifetime. I also write short stories and poems (some have been published!), have a wonderful son, and a kitty named Shirley (AKA Shir Shir). I am a cis- lesbian, thin-bodied woman and am white-appearing (half Mexican, quarter Italian, quarter Irish). I love working with clients to navigate our current health care system, helping them work with their doctors and other healthcare workers who might not be HAES(r)-aligned.

Accessibility Considerations

There are a couple steps leading to my office: 2 up and 2 down. If this is an issue, we can meet in another building on the grounds. Just let me know!
