My Philosophy of Care
My practice is firmly routed in the Health At Every Size® framework. I will never talk about numbers including weight or calories. If health is a value that you hold, we will work on health-promoting behaviors as opposed to weight loss, since the research clearly shows that weight is not an indicator of health.
Health At Every Size® is important to me because I believe folks of all body types, abilities, and social identities deserve to be seen, protected, and welcomed in healthcare spaces. The Health At Every Size® framework creates an inclusive, supportive approach to health, as opposed to the shame-based, stigmatizing weight-normative approach to health.
About Me & My Practice
I am an anti-diet dietitian and certified intuitive eating counselor who specializes in helping people heal their relationships with food and body. My approach to coaching is firmly evidence-based, routed in the Health At Every Size® & Intuitive Eating frameworks. In my private practice, I teach my clients to harness their body’s innate wisdom to govern how they eat and live. I believe that the work involved with unraveling years of conditioning in diet culture and learning to come home to one’s body is deeply spiritual work and I treat it as such.
It is my mission to help my clients make peace with food and body so they can unlock their most aligned and fulfilling lives.
