My Philosophy of Care

I endorse a gender-inclusive, weight-neutral approach and anti-diet approach in helping my clients heal their relationship with food.

As an ex-binge warrior and growing up with a larger body compare to my peers and in the society and community I live in, fatphobia and body size stigma have been a big obstacle in my health journey. My needs of care and food access often get denied due to my body size. Receiving weight-centric health advice from healthcare professionals had been a barrier for me to follow up with my medical condition growing up. Hence, I can strongly connect and relate with other marginalised populations in society to access equalised healthcare services.

So I am dedicated to promoting a weight-neutral approach to my clients and helping them be confident in their body and food.

About Me & My Practice

I am a Melbourn, Australia-based dietitian (APD) and an ANZ Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician. I have recovered from a 10+ year-long binge eating disorder and being treated equally (especially I live in a larger body than others in my community) was the biggest barrier for me to get support and look for help.

Hence, I am dedicating my career to helping people struggling with binge eating to feel confident around food and their body again without restrictive diets or relying on using 'willpower'.
