My Philosophy of Care

Do you feel like your emotions control you? Life overwhelming? Maybe you're grieving or struggling with feelings of fear and loss. You can discover tools that will help you understand these emotions, as well as your strengths and you don't have to struggle with it on your own. Working with you, I will incorporate skills that I have gathered from my past experiences in public health, end-of-life care, gender-affirming care, and a Health at Every Size® philosophy. If you have ever felt marginalized because of who you are, know that everyone deserves to find peace and affirmation and we can work together to achieve that.
I have a conversational, eclectic approach in my work and believe that therapy should be tailored to the individual.

About Me & My Practice

With a holistic and anti-oppression approach, I strive to help my clients rediscover their mind-body connection and how it can inform their mental wellness. I draw from relational, psychodynamic, CBT, mindfulness, existential, and somatic therapies - creating a collaborative approach that will best utilize the strengths that you already have.
It's scary to reach out for help - especially if you haven't had the best experience in the past. Trust, collaboration, and a good dose of humor is key to a good therapeutic relationship. Most important, though, is the resilience and self-knowledge within you. I am so happy that you are exploring this next step and look forward to working with you.
