My Philosophy of Care

Our clients are the wisest resident in their own body. Inclusive care is your fundamental right. Oppression and stigma are more harmful to our health than our individual behaviors, so I want to work to dismantle that individually, locally, and (hopefully) globally.

Using a client-centered approach, I learn about your unique story, goals, and definition of wellbeing so I can meet you where you're at and walk beside you as we journey towards your goals. Through a combination of deep listening, empathy, intuition, and ongoing communication I will fiercely support you in resuming residency in your own body and caring for yourself in a way that feels authentic and nurturing.

I believe in everyone's ability to change and grow with the right support, and I believe that your body is inherently good and worthy right now.

About Me & My Practice

I've been working in healthcare for 28+ years. After becoming a dietitian I stumbled on the Health at Every Size® lens and am forever changed. THIS is the care and approach that feels right and I've never looked back. I've been unlearning, learning, and practicing from a Health at Every Size® lens for over 10 years and have added a Body Trust® approach to my care. I am fat positive and advocate for clients of all sizes (centering those most oppressed or stigmatized against) in my individual practice, with my staff whom I collaborate with and develop, and with referring providers in our region.
