My Philosophy of Care

Sam is a weight-inclusive, anti-diet Registered Dietitian who believes that all bodies in all stages are deserving of quality, evidence-based healthcare. Sam offers a Health At Every Size (HAES) ® and Intuitive Eating based approach, which she has cultivated from her years of experience in the world of eating disorder treatment. Sam currently works with those motivated to recover from disordered eating, as well as those requiring medical nutrition therapy for both chronic and acute conditions. All work with Sam is done through a HAES lens, which means there will be no weight goals, and no food rules. Sam's goal for all of her patients is to help them rebuild a partnership with their bodies, rooted in self-care, balance, and most importantly, enjoyment.

About Me & My Practice

Beyond Measure is a team of licensed psychologists and registered dietitians working collaboratively to provide inclusive, affirming professional services in our respective disciplines. While we are well-versed in evidence-based practices, we want to ensure that we are providing the best possible care to everyone, including those whose identities are underrepresented in the current body of scientific research. We will always strive to provide the best possible care to each individual we work with, taking into account the complexity of our patients' lived experience and intersectional identities. We serve children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Whether you are an individual seeking psychotherapy or nutrition counseling, a fellow professional looking for training, or a community member hoping to learn more, we look forward to exploring how we can best work together to meet your needs. We provide virtual services, but will be opening up in-person availability in late 2023. Please reach out to us to learn more.

Accessibility Considerations

Beyond Measure was founded as a size-inclusive organization, and we aim to demonstrate this in the work that we do, and the spaces we create. We have always offered virtual visits, and in late 2023 will be offering in-person options as well. Our office is located on the first floor, just steps away from accessible parking spaces. All furniture and spaces have been chosen and designed to reflect the wide spectrum of body sizes that we are meant to see in our world. Our goal is to offer accessible services, and to be a safe space for all who seek care with us. If you notice any practices at Beyond Measure that do not support accessibility, we welcome your feedback.
