My Philosophy of Care
The PEAAC is a holistic, HAES®-aligned sports medicine and eating disorder clinic that believes in keeping each patient's human-ness at the forefront: We are all people first and deserve to be treated as such. We believe in fostering reconnections between the mind, body, and soul and working to understand the root of life dissatisfaction for which the eating disorder has thus far been the necessary coping mechanism.
I am a recovered anorexic who does not make a distinction between "atypical" anorexia and anorexia. All weights at my clinic are truly blind, as we use the numberless Myclearstep scale, where the number only discoverable on my secure provider portal; I also do not enter the weight into the medical record unless required for electronic prescribing.

About Me & My Practice
I am a recovered anorexic and this is a large component of what fueled me to open my clinic The PEAAC - so I could help people navigate the challenging waters of diet culture, disordered eating, and eating disorders. I was at a higher weight (straight-sized fat) for most of my adolescence and early adulthood prior to developing an eating disorder, which I thought was just healthy weight loss until 6 years later. I know the shame of being told that your current symptoms/suffering is because of your weight and don't want my patients to ever feel that way.
Accessibility Considerations
Most languages available are through phone/video interpretation. I do speak Spanish/French directly. Most clinic visits take place on the first floor of our building, wellness activities may be in the lower floor, which uses stairs to access. ADA compatible bathroom, exam rooms, and exam tables. Variety of chairs with/without armrests.
